KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway into Monday night (Nov. 16).

The forecaster says a warm front is moving across the region and could dump 15 to 20 centimetres on the Kamloops-to-Merritt segment of the highway before midnight. A similar amount is expected on the Merritt-to-Hope section.

Within Kamloops itself, the temperature is expected to remain above zero at valley bottom, meaning precipitation is likely to fall as rain, but could fall as snow in the higher elevations of the city.

A snowfall warning is also in effect for the 100 Mile House region, with 10 to 15 centimeters expected into Tuesday.
