No injuries reported in Saturday night fire in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – There were no injuries in a Saturday night fire at the Hospitality Inn along Columbia Street.

Kamloops Fire Rescue said four trucks and 14 firefighters attended the blaze, which broke out shortly after 10:00 pm. Firefighters managed to limit the damage to one suite however the damage was heavy inside and outside of that suite.

Two people were evacuated from the suite and have been set up in alternate living arrangements.

KFR officials say there doesn’t seem to be anything suspicious about the fire, however the area is being secured until fire investigators can conduct a complete analysis Monday.
