COVID-19 confirmed in member of NorKam Secondary community

KAMLOOPS – NorKam Secondary School has informed parents that a member of the school community has tested positive for COVID-19.
A letter sent to parents Saturday (Nov. 14) by Principal Jonathan Brady says the individual is self-isolating at home. It does not identify whether the individual is a student, staff member or volunteer.
As of Sunday afternoon, the exposure had not yet been listed on the Interior Health school exposure website.
The letter to parents states that Interior Health has begun contact tracing. Those who have been in contact with the COVID-19-positive individual will be contacted by IH and asked to self-isolate. All those who are not contacted will be asked to attend school as usual.
