Kamloops couple hopes big RIH Foundation donation will inspire others to give back
KAMLOOPS — The Royal Inland Hospital Foundation is celebrating a rare six-figure donation from a local couple.
In a news release, the foundation says it has received $100,000 from Steve and Ladonne Davidson.
The Davidsons explained they resolved to make a donation in honour of their birthdays earlier this year, and the RIH Foundation was a natural choice because it was where both of their children were born.
In addition, Ladonne had spent time in the hospital in spring for pancreatitis and pneumonia, and their son Matthew had an extended stay in the hospital 13 years ago after a snowboarding accident.
