KELOWNA — Interior Health says it is concerned about surging COVID-19 activity and is asking residents to avoid non-essential travel.
In an alert, IH says it wants to help this region avoid the type of stringent restrictions in place for the Lower Mainland.
It urges residents not to make non-essential travel plans, including “unnecessary visits to the Lower Mainland or other jurisdictions with surging cases.”
On Saturday (Nov. 7), Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry enacted new public health orders putting the clamps on social gatherings, travel, and group indoor physical activities for the Fraser and Vancouver Coastal Health areas.
