Snow already falling in Cariboo, expected to arrive in Kamloops soon

KAMLOOPS — Snow is on its way to the Kamloops area Monday afternoon (Nov. 9).

Environment Canada’s Doug Lundquist notes a snowfall warning was put in place for the North Thompson and Cariboo regions early Monday.

Lundquist says that warning could be extended into the Kamloops area in the afternoon.

“We expect a pretty decent snowfall – mostly in the ‘tonight’ period,” said Lundquist. “I’d say five to 10 centimetres in the valley bottom. Maybe a little higher over some of the higher mountain passes, pushing upward toward 15 centimetres.”
