BLIND BAY, B.C. — It took a team effort to get a sunken sailboat out of Shuswap Lake last month.
According to the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District, Bylaw Enforcement Officer Chris Smit noticed the safety and environmental hazard off the 2200-block of Eagle Bay Road in Blind Bay in February.
Smit contacted a list of government and regulatory agencies to navigate the best way to get the vessel removed from the water.
On October 29, it finally took place with the help of specialized recovery equipment from a local diving company.
