Merritt residents invited to name their neighbourhoods

MERRITT, B.C. — City of Merritt officials are giving residents an opportunity to name their own neighbourhoods.

The community is reviewing and revising its Official Community Plan, the document that guides growth and development in the city.

As part of that process, Merritt officials are offering residents a say in how their neighbourhoods are named.

The current names correspond to the map above:

• 1 – City Centre
• 2 – North Nicola
• 3 – Diamond Vale
• 4 – South Merritt
• 5 – Collettville
• 6 – West Merritt
• 7 – Bench
• 8 – North Bench
• 9 – North Entry
• 10 – Airport
• 11 – Gateway 286
