Lower Mainland gang unit seizes drugs, more than 50 weapons in Kamloops sweep
KAMLOOPS — The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC’s (CFSEU-BC) Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) made a rare trip outside the Lower Mainland recently — seizing a variety of drugs and weapons in Kamloops.
In a news release, CFSEU-BC says the team was here to target people and groups who pose the greatest risk to public safety in the city.
Over the course of three days, UGET stopped 133 vehicles and checked 260 people, most of whom are connected to the local drug trade.
