KAMLOOPS — RCMP are asking motorists to avoid Highway 5A in the Knutsford area this morning (Oct. 24), with icy conditions in the Kamloops area last night.
In a release, Sgt. Kelly Butler says crews began working overnight to remove several jack-knifed semis on Cardu Hill.
Single lane alternating traffic is getting through, but delays are expected. Butler notes that the road conditions are very slippery, and truckers are advised to chain up their vehicles.
An update from RCMP is expected when the roadway has completely cleared.
