B.C. Liberal Tegart re-elected in Fraser-Nicola

KAMLOOPS – Jackie Tegart of the BC Liberal Party has been re-elected as MLA in Fraser-Nicola, keeping the seat for the party.
Tegart picked up 5,696 votes, and finished 282 votes ahead of NDP candidate Aaron Sumexheltza, who had 5,414 votes. She garnered 41.64 per cent of the total vote to Sumexheltza’s 39.58 per cent.
Jonah Timms of the Green Party was third with 1,788 votes – or 13.07 per cent – while independent candidates Dennis Adamson and Mike Bhangu got 438 and 343 votes respectively.
