Kamloops recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19 last month: B.C. Centre for Disease Control

KAMLOOPS — New totals from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) show a marked increase in COVID-19 cases in the Kamloops area during the month of September.

The BCCDC updates its breakdown of new COVID-19 cases by local health area once every month. In the latest update to the end of September, the map shows 82 recorded cases in the Kamloops area. That’s an increase of 22 from the end of August.

Kamloops saw just seven new cases recorded during the month of August.

These are some other local health area totals in the Kamloops vicinity:

  • Cariboo/Chilcotin – 8 (up by 3)
  • North Thompson – 0 (unchanged)
  • 100 Mile House – 2 (unchanged)
  • South Cariboo – 6 (down by 1)
  • Lillooet – 2 (up by 2)
  • Merritt – 10 (up by 3)
  • Vernon – 27 (up by 4)
  • Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 2 (unchanged)
  • Enderby – 4 (unchanged)
  • Salmon Arm — 7 (unchanged)
  • Revelstoke – 3 (unchanged)
  • Central Okanagan – 283 (up by 44)
