EARLIER: RCMP have released more information about a shooting incident this morning in Lower Sahali.

According to an RCMP news release, police were called to the 500-block of Columbia Street West at about 7:30 a.m. for the report of gunshots fired.

They have since focused on the Hospitality Inn, directly across from CFJC Today’s headquarters in Broadcast Centre.

Sgt. Darren Michels says one man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is being treated at Royal Inland Hospital.
