Two teens dead after vehicle flips, crashes into B.C. river: RCMP

CHILLIWACK, B.C— Two teenage girls are dead and another is in serious condition after a late-night crash in a rural part of Chilliwack, B.C.

Mounties say they responded to reports of a car flipping and ending up in the Fraser River late Saturday with all three occupants trapped inside.

First responders worked to free the three trapped inside, and despite CPR and other life-saving efforts, two teen girls were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the third occupant, a 21-year-old male, was airlifted to hospital and remains in critical condition.

Chilliwack RCMP, and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the crash, along with collision reconstructionists.
