B.C. remains steady with 119 new COVID-19 cases; two in Interior Health
KAMLOOPS — While the two most populous provinces in Canada are seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases, B.C. remains steady at its current rate.
In a news release, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced the province recorded 119 new cases Friday (Oct. 9). Two of those cases were found within Interior Health.
The new cases bring the province’s total case count to 10,185, spread through B.C. as follows:
- 3,728 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 35)
- 5,253 — Fraser Health (up by 79)
- 225 — Island Health (up by 2)
- 559 — Interior Health (up by 2)
- 331 — Northern Health (up by 1)
- 89 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)
