NDP Leader Horgan promises new cancer care centre for Kamloops
VANCOUVER — Rolling out a 10-year cancer care plan in Vancouver today, NDP Leader John Horgan is promising a new cancer care centre for Kamloops.
“A cancer diagnosis has touched nearly every family, including my own,” said Horgan. “Under our plan, British Columbians will receive better care that’s closer to home as they go through their cancer journey.”
In addition to a new cancer care centre in Kamloops, Horgan promised a similar centre in Nanaimo.
Currently, Kamloops residents must travel to Kelowna or the Lower Mainland to receive most cancer care services.
