B.C. sees 82 new cases of COVID-19; two more in Interior Health

VICTORIA — Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has reported 82 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday (Oct. 1), including two cases in Interior Health.

That brings the provincial total to 9,220, spread through B.C. as follows:

  • 3,360 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 20)
  • 4,712 — Fraser Health (up by 54)
  • 209 — Island Health (up by 1)
  • 535 — Interior Health (up by 2)
  • 317 — Northern Health (up by 5)
  • 87 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)

Henry says there are 1,261 active cases in B.C. Thursday, down slightly from Wednesday. Sixty-nine of those people are in hospital and 19 are in critical or intensive care.
