Investigation underway after shot fired in North Shore neighbourhood
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say several people are in custody and an investigation is underway, after a shot was allegedly fired in a north shore neighbourhood last night (Sept. 26).
In a release, Sgt. Kelly Butler says around 9:50 p.m Saturday, officers responded to a report of shots fired in an alley along the 400 block of Fortune Drive.
When police arrived, they found that a suspect had an interaction with occupants of a nearby vehicle and allegedly fired a single shot into the air while the vehicle sped off. The suspect then fled to a nearby home.
Butler says the residence was contained, and evacuated safely with help from the Southeast District Emergency Response Team.
