Online and phone registration for BC voters ends Saturday

KAMLOOPS — A reminder that voter registration over the phone and online for the upcoming fall provincial election closes tonight (Sept. 26).
Elections BC says voters can register to vote, or update their information by calling 1-800-661-8683 until 8 p.m, or online at elections.bc.ca/ovr until 11:59 p.m Saturday.
After today, voters can still register or update their information on the day of the election, but the process will take longer. Elections BC says voters are encouraged to make sure their information is up to date now so they can vote faster, reduce line up wait times, and support physical distancing.
Voters will still be able to request a vote-by-mail package online or by phone after this weekend. But if they aren’t registered or their information is out of date there will be additional steps required such as providing copies of identification when returning their package.
