COVID-19 outbreak declared at Kelowna Calvary Chapel as Interior Health notifies public of potential exposure

KELOWNA — Interior Health has declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at a Kelowna church, and is advising those who attended at a certain time they may have been exposed.

In a release, IH says anyone who attended a morning church service at Calvary Chapel Kelowna on September 13 may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Four people are connected to the outbreak to date, and the latest three cases were identified to public health on Friday (Sept. 25) and Saturday (Sept. 26).

The health authority is asking people who were in the Ann Rauser Hall within the building at 2870 Benvoulin Rd., for the 10:30 a.m. live service to self-isolate until end of the day on Sunday, Sept. 27 and to get tested if they display symptoms of the virus.

Anyone who attended the morning televised service in the library on Sept. 13 is asked to monitor for signs of COVID-19 and get tested if symptoms arise.
