Possible COVID-19 exposure on Kamloops flight

KAMLOOPS – Passengers on a September 16 flight from Calgary to Kamloops may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) has identified WestJet flight 3111 as a flight with a confirmed COVID-19 case.

Those in rows six to 12 are at a higher risk of infection and should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

If you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms, you should go online and take the BC COVID-19 self-assessment test or call 811.

According to the BCCDC, the most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Cough or worsening of chronic cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Muscle aches
