Firearms report leads to arrest of pair in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A gun complaint led to the arrests of a man and a woman in Williams Lake Friday (Sept. 18).
According to North District RCMP, a business person confronted a man and woman along the 1400-block of Broadway South Friday afternoon, suspecting them to be under the influence and asking them to move along.
The man purportedly drew a gun and threatened the businessperson.
Mounties converged on the area and arrested the man and woman hiding not far away. Officers found a replica gun and other “edged weapons” on their possession.
