B.C. sees 122 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday; six in Interior Health

VICTORIA — Provincial health officials are reporting 122 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday (Sept. 16), including six more cases within Interior Health.

The new cases bring the B.C. total to 7,498 since the pandemic arrived, spread through B.C. as follows:

  • 2,660 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 52)
  • 3,835 — Fraser Health (up by 51)
  • 195 — Island Health (unchanged)
  • 485 — Interior Health (up by 6)
  • 237 — Northern Health (up by 12)
  • 85 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)

There are 1,614 active cases throughout the province. There were no new deaths recorded, with the B.C. death toll remaining at 219.
