B.C. sets new single-day record with 139 new COVID-19 cases Thursday
VICTORIA — B.C. has set a new record for its daily COVID-19 case count.
In a news conference Thursday (Sept. 10), Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced 139 new recorded cases in the province, the highest single-day total of new cases since the start of the pandemic.
That brings the province’s total since the pandemic arrived to 6,830, spread through B.C. as follows:
- 2,343 (Vancouver Coastal)
- 3,551 (Fraser Health)
- 187 (Island Health)
- 462 (Interior Health)
- 203 (Northern Health)
- 84 (Reside outside of Canada)
