An even 100 COVID-19 cases recorded in B.C. Wednesday, just two in Interior Health

KAMLOOPS — The province is reporting 100 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday (Sept. 9), though just two were found in the Interior Health area.

According to a news release from the provincial health ministry, the 100 cases bring the B.C. total to 6,691 since the pandemic began, spread through the province as follows:

  • 2,285 (Vancouver Coastal)
  • 3,482 (Fraser Health)
  • 185 (Island Health)
  • 462 (Interior Health)
  • 193 (Northern Health)
  • 84 (Reside outside of Canada)

There are 1,378 active cases of the virus in B.C., including 37 people who are in hospital and 15 in intensive care. Interior Health says 16 cases are active in the region.
