South Cariboo property owners encouraged to volunteer for RCMP crime reduction program
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Property owners in the South Cariboo who are worried about criminal activity have another avenue to help protect their investments.
According to a news release from 100 Mile House RCMP, owners of rural and recreational properties are eligible to sign up for a voluntary tool that would allow Mounties “additional avenues of investigation.”
The Mounties say this tool would help remote properties become less susceptible to criminal acts like thefts and break-and-enters.
The release notes the Rural Crime Reduction Program (RCRP) does not offer actual property management, but instead gives investigators a better chance at identifying and prosecuting the culprits.
