Fire damages trailer on Lac Le Jeune Road

KAMLOOPS — Fast work by Kamloops Fire prevented a serious blaze at a trailer on the Lac Le Jeune Road early this morning.
Platoon Captain Troy Grant says residents of a trailer at the Iron Mask trailer park were awakened about 3:00 AM to the smell of smoke. Everyone got out okay.
Fire crews responded quickly and made short work of the fire. Grant says most of the damage was contained to the outside of the trailer, but some fire got in through a vent in the floor and caused some scorching in a bedroom.
No cause as yet, but a fire inspector will be on scene this morning.
