Fifty-eight new COVID-19 cases recorded in B.C. Tuesday; no new cases in Interior

VICTORIA — Provincial health officials have reported 58 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday (Aug. 25), though none of the new cases were found in Interior Health.

According to a news release from Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, the 58 new cases bring the provincial total to 5,242, spread through B.C. as follows:

  • 1,683 (Vancouver Coastal)
  • 2,762 (Fraser Health)
  • 168 (Island Health)
  • 425 (Interior Health)
  • 128 (Northern Health)
  • 76 (Reside outside of Canada)

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in B.C. is up to 925, including 22 people in hospital and seven in intensive care.
