Williams Lake RCMP recover stolen firearms, arrest suspect after break and enter
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP in Williams Lake have arrested one man in connection to a recent break-and-enter involving stolen firearms.
Cpl. Madonna Saunderson with the RCMP North District says on Monday (Aug. 17), Williams Lake RCMP responded to a break-and-enter at a home in the 1500-block of 11th Avenue North. Property had been stolen from the home, including several firearms.
The following day, the Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit, General Investigation Section and General Duty section searched a home in Williams Lake. A man known to police was arrested and multiple firearms were recovered.
The offender’s name will not be released at this time, and he was released on strict public interest conditions, with a court appearance scheduled for December 16.
