LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — A teenager has been arrested after huge drum of yellow road paint was spilled in the District of Logan Lake.

According to a news release from Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of RCMP Southeast District, the incident happened on Monday (Aug. 17).

Investigators found a drum on the back of a flat deck truck was intentionally drained onto the parking lot of the Logan Lake Recreation Centre on Chartrand Avenue.

O’Donaghey says the 1,000-litre spill totals up to a loss of about $10,000, not to mention a concerning chemical spill.

The yellow paint was intended to be applied to nearby roads and highways.
