Future transit development plan for Kamloops now available online
KAMLOOPS — Details around an updated transit plan recently adopted by Kamloops city council are now available online.
Mayor and council authorized the adoption of the Transit Future Action Plan (TFAP) on July 14 with amendments to the reintroduction of Route 8 Battle. The new document also lays out future infrastructure needs, which include new transit exchanges, upgrades, and amenity improvements at bus stops.
The finalized TFAP document is now available here.
The plan is an update of the 2012 Transit Future Plan, which brought in improvements that resulted in a more than 15 per cent increase in ridership. The current plan clarifies transit system priorities for the next five years and beyond in Kamloops.
