Zane Franklin signs in ECHL

KAMLOOPS — Zane Franklin knows where he’ll be playing hockey next season.

The Blazers team captain last season has signed with the Allen, Texas Americans in the ECHL — a farm team of the Minnesota Wild.

Americans GM Steve Martinson describes Franklin as “one of the new guys that can chop the wood and carry the water.”

Franklin played out his junior eligibility in the COVID-19 shortened 2019-20 season.
