One killed in Trans Canada crash near Revelstoke

REVELSTOKE, B.C. — RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are working to identify a driver killed in a crash near Revelstoke early Thursday morning (Aug. 13).
The crash was reported at about 4:40 a.m. along the Trans Canada Highway six kilometres west of Revelstoke.
It involved a semi and a passenger vehicle, with the passenger vehicle bursting into flames and the semi rolling after the impact.
Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are looking to identify the victim and notify their family.
