McGill Road utility project to get underway Friday

KAMLOOPS — Site work will begin on a major road project in the area of Thompson Rivers University Friday (Aug. 14).
According to the City of Kamloops, Extreme Excavating will begin milling up pavement on McGill Road from Columbia Street to University Drive. It’s part of a $1.4 million utility relocation project expected to last until fall.
Beginning overnight Sunday, crews will work to install the new water main around the intersection of McGill and Summit Drive. The work will take place overnight Sunday and overnight Monday.
