Province announces students will return to school Sept. 10

VICTORIA — B.C.’s minister of education says students will return to schools on September 10.
In a news release, Rob Fleming says the first week of school will see a gradual restart as staff and students are oriented to new pandemic-related practices and learning spaces.
Fleming says staff will return to school on Sept. 8 to learn about the province’s updated guidelines set out by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.
Students will be back at schools two days later in order to become familiar with the way school will look under the new conditions. They will be assigned to their new classes and learning groups at that time.
