Several injured in two vehicle accident Sunday night

WESTWOLD— Rescue crews and emergency crews from several centres responded to an accident on Highway 97 in Westwold early Sunday night.
An air ambulance responded, as did a rescue truck from Kamloops and crews from Chase. RCMP and ambulance crews also attended.
Kamloops Fire and Rescue confirms rescue crews had to remove a door on one of the vehicles and extricate a person to be flown to hospital. The accident happened on a corner, and it’s believed one vehicle crossed the centre line and hit the second vehicle head on.
Five people were apparently injured, but injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
