MAPLE RIDGE — B.C Conservation Officers recently freed a coyote’s head from a glass jar in the Maple Ridge area.

The CO Service tweeted a video Tuesday (Aug. 4), showing a Conservation Officer wiggling the large jar off the animal’s head using soap and water.

WATCH:

The service says officers had tranquilized the coyote prior to the removal, and after the jar was off they poured water over the critter to cool it down. While the coyote recovered from the ordeal in the shade, officers stayed in the area until it was up and moving again.

It’s not known where the coyote had acquired the jar, or how long the item had been on its head for.
