Kershaw elected as S.D 73 Board Chair, Wade to step into Vice-Chair role
KAMLOOPS — Ahead of the resumption of school in the fall, the new chair for the Kamloops-Thompson Board of Education has been chosen.
At a special board meeting last night (July 27), Rhonda Kershaw was chosen to be the next Chair.
Kershaw represents Barriere and is serving her third term as a trustee. She has served as Vice-Chair since 2018. During her time, she’s spent time on the audit committee, the education committee of the whole, human resources (BCPSEA), and District Parents Advisory Council.
Kershaw succeeds outgoing Chair Kathleen Karpuk, who announced last week she would be stepping down to pursue a role with the BC Wildfire Service.
