Scratch ticket win sets Kamloops woman up for life

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops woman is $675,000 richer after finding a winner in a scratch ticket.

According to a news release from BC Lotto Corporation, Angela Gardner was listening to the radio and enjoying her morning coffee when she scratched three identical cash symbols on a Set for Life ticket.

Gardner says she checked the ticket on her boyfriend’s Lotto! app and called BCLC to confirm the big win.

Gardner bought her ticket at McGoo’s Smokes N Stuff in the Northills Mall.

She says the win will allow her to travel the province more and complete some renovations to her home, including installing a swimming pool. She will also put some money away for retirement.
