Kamloops, Barriere, Chase to receive new childcare spaces after provincial announcement

VICTORIA — Kamloops, Barriere and Chase will benefit from more than 3,000 new childcare spaces announced by the provincial government Wednesday (July 22).
The funding will create 75 new spaces at Gateway Children’s Centre, created by Gateway City Church. Another 37 new spaces will open up at Cariboo Childcare Society.
In Barriere, 52 new spots will be funded at the Simpcw Early Learning and Child Care Centre.
And in Chase, the Adams Lake Indian Band will receive funding for eight spaces at the Sahhaltkum Daycare.
