100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — B.C.’s police watchdog organization is investigating after a man’s death in 100 Mile House.
The Independent Investigations Office says on June 25, 100 Mile House RCMP officers arrested a man and a woman after a call of a theft in progress. The two were arrested without incident.
The man was released the next day and taken to a nearby shelter.
A day later, on June 27, the man was found dead in his room at the shelter. RCMP have ruled out foul play, though the B.C. Coroners Service is investigating to determine what caused his death.
