GRANT IMAHARA DIES AT 49: Grant Imahara, host of popular science show MythBusters and Netflix‘s White Rabbit Project died unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm at 49. “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family,” a statement from the network read. (THR)
LEA MICHELE PAYS TRIBUTE TO NAYA RIVERA, CORY MONTEITH: Lea Michele, who has been accused of Mean Girl and even racist behavior on-set, mourned the death of Glee co-star Naya Rivera. Her body was found on the seventh anniversary of the death of their other Glee co-star Cory Monteith. She shared black and white portraits of the actress and actor to Instagram Stories. Michele was dating Monteith when he died of a heroine overdose. (People)
DAVE CHAPPELLE LIVE SHOW IN THE WORKS? Donnell Rawlings tells Page Six that Dave Chappelle‘s star-studded July Fourth festival in Ohio may land on Netflix as a film. There were appearances from Tiffany Haddish and Erykah Badu, among others. “The thing with Dave is that he likes to film the happenings in his life, documentary style, like when he did [the 2006 film Dave Chappelle’s Block Party],” Rawlings said. BENJAMIN KEOUGH STRUGGLED WITH DRUGS: Lisa Marie Presley‘s son Benjamin Keough was struggling with drugs and alcohol before his death by suicide, according to reports. A source told writer Tony Ortega that in May, Keough “had been talking about how f–ked up kids get in Scientology.” Presley’s first husband and Keough’s father Danny Keough, is still in the church, although Presley left. The 27-year-old shot himself in the chest at his mother’s home in Calabasas, California. (Underground Bunker)
