Revelstoke RCMP, search and rescue crews search for body reported floating in river

REVELSTOKE, B.C. — Searchers returned to the Columbia River in Revelstoke Monday morning (July 13) after the reports of a floating body.

The reports came in to B.C. Emergency Health Services Sunday evening, with someone saying they saw a body from the Highway 1 bridge.

Revelstoke RCMP launched their boat and called Revelstoke Search and Rescue for assistance.

The search came up empty Sunday, but searchers were back on the water Monday, with RCMP and SAR aircraft helping from above.
