Lots of damage but no injuries after Thursday night accident

KAMLOOPS — Aside from vehicle damage and damage to a light standard, there were no injuries after a two-vehicle accident on Notre Dame Drive Thursday night.
A vehicle wound up on the embankment on the south side of Notre Dame, shearing off a communications kiosk from its concrete base and causing the traffic light at that intersection to be put out of commission, as well as some other services.
Captain Wade Lindoff says there was quite a bit of damage to the kiosk and to the two vehicles involved. Traffic was slowed until police finished at the scene and the vehicle was removed. Communications specialists were on scene checking out the damage to the kiosk to see what repairs were needed.
No details at this point as to what caused the accident, which happened around 7:00 PM Thursday.
