Interior Health issues alert for COVID-19 cases stemming from Kelowna gatherings
KELOWNA — Interior Health has issued an advisory regarding COVID-19 in Kelowna.
The health authority is warning anyone who attended gatherings in the downtown and waterfront areas of Kelowna between June 25 and July 6 that they may have been exposed to the virus.
In particular, IH is concerned about several positive COVID-19 cases from those who went to private gatherings or visited businesses such as restaurants and bars. Events on Canada Day and the holiday weekend are of particular focus.
IH says contact tracing has begun to determine who may have been exposed. Those individuals who were potentially exposed will be contacted and told to self-isolate for 14 days.
