Taylor Swift Fans Have a Plan

Taylor Swift fans are calling on her to run for president in 2020.

Swifties around the nation took to social media on Saturday to call for Swift to run for president following Kanye West’s announcement that he’ll be running for commander in chief in the 2020 election. Swift’s fans reacted to the news, begging the singer – who has been at odds with West for more than a decade – to run against the rapper this November.

One of Swift’s fan jokingly suggested that presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden should tap Swift as his vice president for the upcoming election.

However, U.S. regulations state that presidential candidates must be at least 35-years-old. Taylor won’t reach that age for another five years. West is 43.

Swift has been at odds with West for more than a decade, starting with his infamous interruption of her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and leading up to the controversy surrounding lyrics of his 2016 song “Famous” in which he suggests he was the one who brought her into the limelight.
