KAMLOOPS — A man has died in an apparent dog attack at a home in the 900-block of Singh Street in Kamloops.

RCMP say the attack took place around 11:45 Monday morning (June 29).

Those in the home have told police the victim was a visitor to the home.

Police say the pit bull will be euthanized by members of the Conservation Officer Service.

The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating the death. Spokesman Andy Watson would not go so far as to say a dog attack caused the death, but noted a dog was present at the scene.

Watson says the dog’s potential involvement will be part of the Coroners Service’s investigation.

The name, age, and hometown of the victim has not been released.
