Two in custody, as Kamloops RCMP investigate report of shots fired

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating after shots were reportedly fired in Tranquille River area this morning (June 21).

In a release, Staff Sgt. Sascha Fesenko says around 10:20 a.m, police received a report of four shots being fired near Tranquille Criss Creek Road.

Multiple officers went to the scene to secure the area, including Police Dog Services.

Witnesses directed RCMP to a camp set up near the river, where a man and woman from Ontario were arrested.
