KAMLOOPS — After nearly non-stop rain over the weekend, the Kamloops area is expected to see some clearing this week.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Colin Tam says between Friday morning and Sunday afternoon, Kamloops Airport saw approximately 18 mm of rainfall.

“It was the adjacent areas that had more,” explains Tam, “Salmon Arm has 32 mm, Squilax 37 mm, Vernon 22 mm, West Kelowna has 24 mm, and in Merritt – 10 to 15 mm.”

Tam notes that the consecutive rainfall days aren’t entirely uncommon, and starting Monday, there will be some more sun in the forecast.
