Provincial advisory back in place for North Thompson River as thunderstorms rumble through

VICTORIA — With thunderstorms rumbling through the Southern and Central Interior, the B.C. River Forecast Centre (RFC) is reinstituting warnings about rising rivers.
Effective 3:00 p.m. Friday (June 12), the RFC put high streamflow advisories back in place for the North Thompson River and its tributaries, as well as rivers throughout the North and Central Okanagan.
High streamflow advisories that were already in place for the South Thompson River and Nicola Lake remain in effect.
